I Was There....Prague
These are photos of my last and best post. I was in Prague from May of 93 to September of 94. While a lot of memorable things happened, the biggest one was I met my wife Naomi there. We met at the '93 Birthday Ball. Of all the European cities I have visited, Prague was the most beautiful one. It is also rich with history. The photo with the town is a view from the Glorietta, which is in the third garden of the embassy. What you are seeing is most of the third garden, and some of the second. The car you see in the picture is the courtyard, or the 1st garden. If you look right above the car, this whole building is the embassy. The building with the flag is one of the biggest landmarks in the city. It is the Glorietta, and is located in the embassies third garden, which used to be an orchard. From the Glorietta, you have a magnificent view of the city. If you were ever lost in the city, all you had to do was look for the 18x20 flag that flew 24hrs a day and you could find your way. The Glorietta is where I reenlisted in June 1994. If you travel to Europe, be sure you stop in Prague. Although the public is not allowed to go in and look at the gardens, Prague has many things to see, and it is well worth the visit.
